ScoreDo Program
The Score Do program reads in a text result file from the ALGE OPTIc system and formats the data for display using a Scan Do Scan Converter to TV.



Installation
------------
Copy the Zip file to a New Directory on your computer's Hard Drive.

Extract all files from the ScoreDo.zip file into this new directory.

Run the "ScoreDo.exe" installation program and follow the instructions on screen.

Install it in the default location C:/Program Files/Score Do

For the correct header to be displayed, change the XXXXHeader.bmp file for your track to Header.bmp


Operation
---------
The operation of the software is simple.

A short cut will be available in your Start Menu under START->Programs->Score Do.
 
Run the program by selecting the shortcut in the START menu.

TIP: To switch between the OPTIc and Score Do programs during a race meeting, you can use press and hold the "ALT" key and press the "TAB" key once. This will display a list of icons for all running programs.
This switch window will stay open as long as you hold the ALT key. Move through the list of running programs by pressing the "TAB" key. To select a program that is selected, release the ALT key.



Reading Results
---------------
When the ScoreDo window opens you can read in the results by clicking on the "Get Results" button.

You will be asked to locate the results file. The results file is a text file with the name you used to save the race in the OPTIc.
This will normally be located in the "C:/Program Files/OPTIC-OHCI/Work" directory unless you saved it somewhere else.

eg. "C:/Program Files/OPTIC-OHCI/Work/20040417R1.txt"

ScoreDo will then format the data for the screen. If there are more than 10 horses in the field, additional page buttons will be shown.



Automatic Paging
----------------
Automatic Paging is activated by checking the "Auto Page" check box. If there is more than one page of results (more than 10 horses), you can make Score Do cycle through the pages automatically changing every 10 seconds.
You can enter any value from 1 to 100 seconds by typing the inerval into the text box and pressing the "TAB" key.



Using the Scan Do
-----------------
To display on the Scan Do, you need to enable the magnify feature so that the computer's menu bar and task bar are hidden. (otherwise they will show on screen)

Using the Arrow buttons on the front of the Scan Do, position the image so that it is centered in your monitor. You can use the dotted border to help with alignment if required.

To hide the dotted border, uncheck the "Hide Boder" checkbox.



Activating the WEIGHT/PROTEST tags
----------------------------------
You can make one of the WEIGHT/PROTEST/UPHELD/DISMISSED tags flash by double clicking on the appropriate tag. To change tags just double click on another one. To deactive, double click on the flashing tag.
